Culture

The Netherlands has an active policy concerning culture. The main feature is that the cultural sector knows best what is interesting, and that the state is only a facilitator. For general information concerning cultural policy in the Netherlands you can click Externe link here to the website of the Netherlands Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.

The Embassy has a small budget at its disposal in order to stimulate the co-operation between Croatia and The Netherlands in the cultural field. It is the aim of our Embassy to foster direct contacts among groups and organizations carrying out programmes in the diverse artistic disciplines which are relevant in the actual artistic scene of both countries.

The Embassy is able to support initiatives bringing Dutch art and /or artists to Croatia. In order to obtain a grant, the Croatian implementing organization can submit a project proposal according to the PKP/PICB Questionnaire (Microsoft Word document click here).
